Welcome to the world of teachers training
programmes being conduct ed by DAU DAYAL MAHILA (P.G.) COLLEGE,
Firozabad. Started as a Bal Mandir in the year 1965, our Educational
Institutions now include:
Dau Dayal Girls Inter College
Dau Dayal Mahila Mahavidhylaya
Dau Dayal Mahila (P.G.) College
Since 1994, Dau Dayal Mahila (P.G.) College has
been running B.Ed course, post graduate classes are in Hindi,
English, Economics and Psychology, Home science, Health and Nutrition,
Music from the session 2004-2005 the
college has also started M.Ed. Course. All these courses are being run
under the self financing scheme of the state Government.
From the session 2004-2005, th e college has been granted recognition
by the National Council for teacher education for two year B.T.C. and
N.T.T. courses. Affiliation from the state Govt. is awaited
to start these courses.
The education department of the college has been assessed and
accredited by the National Assessment and Acreditation Council,
Banglore, (an autonomous body of the University Grants Commission) and
awarded ”B+” grade. |

The founder of the institution had only
one aim in mind. This was to provide the best possible education to the
girls in an atmosphere conducive to the development of her total
personality and genius. The founder firmly believed that only through
meaningful education the ills of poverty and suffering afflicting our
society could be remedied.
The institution aims at building a
social structure where women can enjoy respectability free gender
bias. It considers women education essential for their all round
development viz. physical, mental, intellectual, social moral and
spiritual. It aims at inculcating right attitudes, values, ideals and
ideologies among its students. It strives to provide intellectually
well developed and socially concerned teacher-citizens for our
society. |

Why Dau Dayal Mahila (P.G.)College |

This is the only women’s college affiliated to Dr.
B.R. Ambedkar University, Agra whose education Department has been assessed and
accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council, Banglore and awarded B+ grade. |

Location |
|
Firozabad, famous for
glass industry, is 45 kms away from, Agra (a world heritage city). A
historical town itself, Firozabad is situated on the banks of river Yamuna, it is on the National Highway and is an important Railway
Station midway between Delhi and Kanpur. Most of the trains passing on
this route halt here. The college Campus located at bye pass road, is in
the heart of the city
Keeping in view the growing needs of women education and to provide an
eco-friendly atmosphere and scope for extra curricular activities, the
society has purchased 26.5 acres land close to the present Campus. The
buildings for expansion at the new premises are under construction.
