Curricular Activities

Through its curricular activities the college offers its Teacher Trainees a forum to display their talents and creativity and to learn the value of self esteem and co-operative living. The activities include:

• Moral and spiritual Morning Assembly, Prayer, speeches on Values and Morals.

• Social Community service programmes such as N.C.C., N.S.S. Girls Guiding Adult literacy, awareness camps, cleaning of campus and adjacent areas, celebration of National days, blood donation camps etc.

• Cultural Competitions on dance, song, mono acting, drama, flower arrangements, salad decoration, rangoli, alpana, mehendi, drawing and painting, embroidery etc.

• National and International Seminars and workshops, guest lectures, inter college competitions - debate, extempore speech, essay writing, quiz,  projects, poem writing etc.

Prize Distribution

The prize distribution function is held annually to award prizes to the students winning distinctions in studies, sports, cultural or other social and literary activities.

Shri Gopal Chandra Gold Medal are awarded to the students securing highest marks in under graduate, post graduate classes.
To develop aesthetic sense and love for Indian classical music and dance, the college in association with SPIC MACAY organize performances of renowned artist like Bharat Ratan Ustad bismillah Khan ,Padam Shree Uma Shankar, Padam Vibhushan Girija Devi, padamshree Shobhna  Narayanan etc. from time to time.
The college magazine “DEEPIKA” is published every year to provide opportunities to the students to display their talents as well as power of expression and imagination. A wall magazine “Prerna” is also there to encourage the budding writers.

The college has formed as Alumni Association to keep in touch with old students and to get feedback from them. Every year a get together is organized and students with outstanding achievements in their respective fields are honored.
